Expected Impact: Minimal: Short client connection losses with immediate reconnect capacity available
Details: OCEAN will be performing routine maintenance and performing updates and upgrades to our core infrastructure consistent with our internal policies.
During the maintenance window, client traffic may be routed through redundant systems, moved from one system to another, and otherwise routed as required to maintain maximum service availability during this upgrade.
While there is no expected impact, there may be brief temporary disruptions to Stratum and/or DATUM miner connections during the maintenance window. These connection drops will be kept to an absolute minimum, and should go completely unnoticed by most miners. If you experience any extended service disruption, please reach out to us through our normal contact channels.
During this maintenance window, the Bitcoin nodes backing the OCEAN Reccomended template will be upgraded to Bitcoin Knots v29.2 (20251110). The node configurations will remain unchanged with the exception that the default 'datacarriersize' in Bitcoin Knots was recently changed to 83 bytes.
Reminder: We will be decommissioning our alternative template options on December 21st, 2025. As such, the existing nodes will not be upgraded prior to decommissioning. See this page for details.
