Lightning Temporarily Suspended

Lightning Network payouts will be temporarily paused starting at block 961,488 (~24 hours before the BIP-110 mandatory signaling window at 961,632).

Why: During any period of dual chain views, a payment made on Lightning cannot be guaranteed to settle cleanly or to be claimable on only one ledger. Since mined bitcoins can only be valid on one chain, we cannot make Lightning payouts under those conditions.

On-chain TIDES payouts continue without interruption. Accrued rewards are not lost and Lightning payouts will resume once the situation is unambiguous (a single sharelog operating). Further updates will be provided as they become available.
