A training service designed to empower factory workers and strengthen business relations.
Millions of factory workers producing the goods we buy and use every day are unaware of their basic rights and responsibilities when it comes to health, safety, and workplace policies in the factory. This results in a decreased quality-of-life for factory workers and an increased risk for tragic accidents to occur at factories working with global brands.
Together with the founders of QuizRR, we designed a digital training service to educate and empower factory workers. The service also connects global buyers with responsible suppliers and production partners.
When QuizRR first came to us they were a small start-up. We used an agile and iterative design approach, strategically grounded in empathy and insights gained from users that allowed QuizRR to gradually scale up from a a minimum viable product to a full service.

To avoid falling into “conference room assumptions”, we visited factories in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where the prototypes were loaded onto tablets and put in the hands of factory workers and managers for validation and feedback.
Today, the training service is implemented and has helped thousands of factory workers in both China and Bangladesh. The QuizRR service has provided both buyers and suppliers a new level of transparency around training and progress, which drives a deeper level of commitment and accountability.
The training is designed like a quizz, with elements of gamification. Short videos are played followed by a set of questions around rights and responsibilities at the factory.
The Visual Design has been created with inspiration from contemporary visual culture in Bangladesh and China, with continuous feedback from factory workers.
